about

A quick follow-up to 2019’s Studies For a Vortex, composed during the quarantine months in Portugal. Gone are many of the “warmer” elements and the obvious human touch that comprised the full length debut - no scrap metal, no drums, and no vocals outside of the occasional samples. In its place, we’re confronted with 8 tracks of cold, synthesized throb and terminally doomed electronic currents, threaded with crackling skuzz, shuffling debris, and ominous interference. It’s a stripped down and despondent recording, about the loss of what we have as human beings, our capability to feel, experience and create, and all the more appropriate and befitting of current times.
